:: What is wrong with the Special Rights law HB 2661
|
- Did you know that the special privileges law (HB 2661) includes "nursery schools, daycare and camps." ?
- As a result, nursery schools, daycares and camps will not be allowed to refuse employment to homosexuals and crossdressers because of their sexual orientation or gender identity problems when the law goes into effect on June 7 (unless 112,00 signatures are gathered on the petition for referendum 65).
- Section 4(10) of HB 2661 specifically includes "nursery schools, or daycare center or children's camps" as within the scope of the law.
- HB 2661 will lead to homosexual marriage in WA state:
- The Massachusetts Supreme Court stated in 2003 that part of their justification for same-sex marriage are the special laws for homosexuals their state had enacted. click here to read the text yourself
- Special laws for homosexuals will lead to same-sex marriage. If we are not successful with the petition drive to revoke HB 2661, Washington will have homosexual marriage within one to two years. Washington citizens need to mobilize and secure the Referendum 65, or recognize that they did not get into the fight when there was a chance of winning.
- Stopping HB 2661 will send a strong message to the Supreme Court (which is currently preparing to rule on the constitutionality of our Defense of Marriage Act), that the citizens of Washington expect to have a say in the issue of homosexual marriage.
